NORTHFIELD, Vt.—Buffalo State scored four first-period goals and 11 different Bengals registered at least one point in a 6-2 victory over Neumann today in the consolation game of the Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament hosted by Norwich University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Braeden Doust (Jamesville, NY/Jamesville DeWitt) scored a pair of goals, and Andrew Logar (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) had three assists to pace the Bengals.
- Jon Colley (Stouffville, ON/Stouffville District), Zach Remers (Clarence, NY/Canisius) and Vadim Vasjonkin (Tallinn, Estonia) finished with a goal and assist apiece.
- Anthony Tulipane (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore East) also scored, and Troy Button (Royal Oak, MI/Shrine Catholic) had two assists.
- Neumann struck first less than five minutes into the opening period, but Buffalo State responded with four goals before the first intermission.
- Colley started the Bengals' surge with his third goal in the last four games when he crashed the net and buried a rebound to tie the score.
- Remers put the Bengals ahead when he poked home a rebound for his fifth goal of the season.
- Doust scored just 21 seconds later put the Bengals in front by two, and Tulipane made it 4-1 with his first collegiate goal on a backdoor deflection off a feed from Ryan Edgar (Foristell, MO/Whitfield) late in the first period.
- After a scoreless middle frame, Vasjonkin scored his sixth goal in nine games midway through the third period.
- Neumann scored with less than three minutes remaining, but Doust completed the scoring just 26 seconds later with his second of the game and fourth of the season.
- Buffalo State outshot the Knights 40-31.
- Trevor Micucci (Hamburg, NY/Connections Acad.) made 29 saves for his first collegiate win.
