OSWEGO, N.Y.—Buffalo State saw its 2019 season come to an end this afternoon at Oswego, suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Lakers despite controlling the ball for much of the afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals finished with a 20-8 advantage in shot attempts and a 14-1 in corner kicks, but could not capitalize on numerous opportunities.
- Oswego opened the scoring converting on a penalty kick in the 25th minute, and exited the first half with a 1-0 lead despite being outshot 14-3.
- The second half delivered more of the same, despite shots finishing just 6-5 in favor of the Bengals. Buffalo State was unable to connect on 10 second-half corner kicks, and the Lakers produced the only offense with an insurance goal in the 63rd minute.
- Isabella Vene (Deer Park/Deer Park) finished with four saves in the loss.

- Sophia Portalatin made eight saves for the shutout for Oswego, while Lynsey Roth scored both goals.
