HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Bengals produced the best scoring chance of the first half when a through-ball sent leading scorer Theo Pencic (Oslo, Norway) on a break, but he was unable to beat the hard-charging Oneonta keeper.
- The Red Dragons nearly got on the scoreboard midway through the second half on a second chance after an Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) save, the loose ball was blasted back on goal and bodied aside by Bengals' defender Trevor Moreland (Newfane/Newfane).
- Anthony Roncone (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) was issued a straight red card in the 76th minute when he attempted to run down a streaking winger, but took his legs out in the process, leaving the Bengals shorthanded for the remainder of the contest.
- Despite being down a player, Buffalo State produced its best scoring chance of the second half with 10 minutes remaining when Zak Shaibi (Buffalo/McKinley) rang a 20-yard shot off the right post.
- After a scoreless first overtime period, Oneonta finally ended the game in the 103rd minute off a nifty back pass was drilled into the top of the Bengals' goal.
