HOW IT HAPPENED
- Plattsburgh stormed out of the gates with a power-play goal in the third minute and never looked back as it claimed a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of action.
- The Cardinals tacked on four more goals in the second period and a final goal in the third period to compete the scoring.
- Plattsburgh held a 50-20 advantage in shots as Bri Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY/Mt. Mercy) finished 42 saves in net.
- Buffalo State held the Cardinals to 1 of 6 on power-play chances but failed to capitalize on either of its power-play opportunities.
FOR THE FOES
- Ivy Boric, Taylor Whitney and Sara Krauseneck all scored twice, while Emma Killeen and Nicole Unsworth also scored.
- Ashley Davis and Lilla Nease completed the shutout, tallying 11 and nine saves respectively.
