PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Buffalo State controlled the bulk of play in the second half, but host Plattsburgh tallied a pair of late goals to claim a 2-0 victory in today's SUNYAC semifinal contest at the Field House Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State finished a scoreless first half with a 6-4 edge in shot attempts as both teams played conservatively and kept the other largely in check.
- Play started to open up on the second half with Buffalo State controlling much of the action.
- The Bengals best scoring chance came midway through the frame when Trevor Moreland (Newfane/Newfane) rang a 20-yard free kick off the cross bar.
- The Cardinals finally broke through in the 86th minutes when a loose ball off a long free kick was speared into the net.
- Plattsburgh added an insurance marker in the 89th minute when a striker took a high ball played into the box and eluded a defender before chipping it over the Bengals' keeper.
- Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) finished with two saves in the loss.
- Buffalo State ended the game with a 16-10 advantage in shots, including a 7-4 edge in shots on goal.
