CANTON, N.Y.—Buffalo State was unable to hold on to a multi-goal lead for the second-straight day, letting a 3-0 advantage turn into a 4-3 loss at SUNY Canton today in the regular season finale.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ryan Edgar (Foristell, MO/Whitfield) scored twice and added an assist to lead Buffalo State.
- Troy Button (Royal Oak, MI/Shrine Catholic) chipped in a goal and an assist, and Hayden Ford (Medford, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) had a pair of helpers.
- The Bengals scored the lone goal of the first period and then pushed the lead to 3-0 with a pair of power-play goals in the second frame.
- Edgar netted his third and fourth goals of the season to get Buffalo State going, and then Button tallied his first of the year.
- Canton cut the deficit with a shorthanded marker and then capitalized on the power play to close the gap to 3-2 going into the third.
- After evening the score midway through the final frame, the Roos potted another shorthanded goal that proved to be the game-winner with 7:15 remaining.
- Tyler Myers (Thornton, CO/Horizon) made 35 saves in his first collegiate start as the Bengals were outshot, 39-23.
- Buffalo State was 2 for 3 on the power play, but also allowed a pair of shorthanded goals. The Roos were 1 for 2 with the man advantage.
- Buffalo State dressed a limited lineup, resting several regulars for Wednesday's playoff game.
FOR THE FOES
- Anthony Filoso scored twice for Canton, and Kyler Matthews and Max Routledge also scored.
- Austin Washkurak finished with 20 saves in the win.
