BUFFALO, N.Y.—Nationally ranked No. 16 St. John Fisher raced out to a 7-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the game and did not look back, snapping Buffalo State's four-game winning streak with an 18-7 decision today in a non-conference matchup at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kendall Skuse (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) led Buffalo State with five points on a goal and four assists.
- Nina Schaefer (Lafayette/Lafayette) added two goals and an assist.
- Maddy Brzezicki (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) scored twice, Hannah Nagowski (Lancaster/Lancaster) had a goal and an assist, and Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier) also scored.
- The Cardinals took the early 7-0 lead and were ahead 11-3 at halftime.
- Buffalo State hung around for much of the second half, using a 3-2 run to trail 14-6, but four-straight goals by St. John Fisher put the game out of reach.
- The Cardinals outshot Buffalo State 30-13 for the game, and held a 17-10 edge in draw controls and a 22-10 advantage in ground balls.
- Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont Memorial) finished with 11 saves in the loss.
