Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier) scored three times for Buffalo State to reach the 100-career point plateau, but it was not enough as No. 18 Cortland defended its home turf with an 18-4 victory this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kendall Skuse (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) added a goal and an assist for Buffalo State, while Hannah Nagowski (Lancaster/Lancaster) chipped in two assists.
- Dufresne became the 19th player in school history to reach 100 career points and the third this season.
- Cortland took control early, scoring four goals in the first five minutes and grew the lead to 10-0 before Dufresne finally got the Bengals on the board with 3:32 remaining in the first half.
- After leading 11-1 at the intermission, Cortland pushed the lead to 14-1 before cruising to the victory.
- The Red Dragons outshot Buffalo State 34-7 for the game and had a 24-16 advantage in ground balls.
- Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont Memorial) finished with nine saves in the loss.
FOR THE FOES
- Cortland used 24 field players and three goalies in the win and had 10 different players score at least one goal, led by Emily Goebel with three.
