HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kendall Skuse (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) paced the Bengals on offense with six points on two goals and four assists.
- Nina Schaefer (Lafayette/Lafayette) added three goals and two assists, and Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier) and Mary Musialowski (Lancaster/Sacred Heart) scored twice each.
- Hannah Nagowski (Lancaster/Lancaster) chipped in a pair of assists.
- The Bengals opened up a 3-0 lead midway through the first half and never trailed in the game.
- After two late goals by Potsdam, the Bengals led 4-3 at the intermission.
- Buffalo State reclaimed the three-goal margin halfway through the second half and held on for the win.
- Potsdam held a 28-26 edge in shots, including 23-17 on goal. The Bears also had an 11-6 advantage in draw controls.
