FREDONIA, N.Y.—
Theo Pencic (Oslo, Norway) netted his second hat trick of the season as Buffalo State scored four times in the second half to dismantle Houghton 5-0 and claim the title in the Fredonia Blue Devil Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ali Shawish (Lackawanna/Lackawanna) and Zak Shaibi (Buffalo/McKinley) added a goal and an assist each in the onslaught for the Bengals.
- Shawish opened the scoring in the seventh minute with his third strike of the season and the score remained 1-0 at the intermission.
- Buffalo State blew the game open in the final 45 minutes, outshooting the Highlander 11-2 and converting four times.
- Pencic scored in the 48th minute, before Shaibi's fourth of the season made it 3-0 in the 64th minute.
- Pencic completed the scoring with his fifth and sixth goals of the season later in the half as the Bengals ran away.
- Buffalo State finished with an 18-5 advantage in shots.
- Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) only needed to make three saves for his third shutout of the season and 19th of his career.
NOTEWORTHY
- Buffalo State is 4-0 for the second-consecutive season and has outscored its opponents 17-1.
- Pencic was named tournament MVP and Shaibi, Abdi Salim (Nairobi, Kenya/Hutch Tech) and Nemanja Simic (Grand Island/Grand Island) were also selected to the All-Tournament Team.
