BUFFALO, N.Y.—
Alexis Hanson (New York/West Broward) scored twice and
Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) recorded her school-record-tying 20
th career shutout as Buffalo State defeated visiting Westminster, 2-0, to close out the Bengals Classic with a 2-0 record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both of Hanson's goals came in the first half. The first strike was in the 20th minute when she ran down a long through ball from Erin Valente (Latham/Shaker) that was misplayed by the goalkeeper and calmly sent to the back of the net.
- Hanson scored again in the 33rd minute on a one-touch off a cross from Allie Reeds (E. Amherst/Williamsville South).
- The Bengals' defense did the rest, allowing just five total shot attempts, including only one on goal which was easily corralled by Carillo.
- Buffalo State finished with a 15-5 advantage in shot attempts.
FOR THE FOES
- Camille Holzschuh finished with two saves for Westminster.
