- Soleil Archambeault (London, ON/Medway) tallied a career-high 45 saves in the loss.
- Buffalo State's defense held strong in the opening period, overcoming a 20-2 shots on goal differential to keep the score 0-0 after the first 20 minutes of action.
- Plattsburgh responded with a pair of goals in first two minutes of the second period to capture the lead and would extend it to 3-0 just five minutes later.
- The Cardinals tacked on a late goal to take a 4-0 lead into the final intermission and closed out its scoring with a two-goal third period.
