Oswego sinks Men’s Basketball, 84-69

BUFFALO, N.Y.— Oswego shot over 56 percent in the second half and outscored the Bengals 39-11 in bench points en route to an 84-69 win in SUNYAC action this afternoon in the Sports Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) finished with a team-high 20 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the charity stripe to go along with three rebounds and three assists.
  • Argjend Imeri (Syracuse/Nottingham) chipped in 12 points, while Jordan Christopher (Bronx/Mott Haven Campus) added 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
  • Aaron Davis (Beacon/Beacon) tallied 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
  • Buffalo State and Brockport matched each other point-for-point in the opening minutes of the first half and used a pair of free throws by Adams to take an 18-13 lead at the midway point of the stanza.
  • Oswego closed the half on an 18-4 run to claim a 42-28 halftime lead.
  • The Lakers maintained a double-digit lead for the majority of the second frame to clinch the conference win.
  • Buffalo State finished with a 15-8 advantage in fast break points.
