BUFFALO, N.Y.—Third-seeded host Buffalo State scored first, but No. 6 Potsdam responded with three unanswered goals to claim a 3-1 victory tonight in the SUNYAC Quarterfinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State struck first with 25 seconds remaining in the first period when Vadim Vasjonkin (Tallinn, Estonia) ripped a low shot through the Potsdam goalie for his 12th goal of the season. Cody Symonds (Woodbridge, ON/Emily Carr) and Zach Remers (Clarence, NY/Canisius) drew the assists.
- Potsdam answered with a power-play goal early in the second period, poking a rebound out of midair into the back of the net to even the scored.
- The Bears took the lead with a deflection goal with 1:59 remaining in the middle frame.
- Potsdam added an insurance goal just 21 seconds into the third period that bounced in through Emil Norrman's (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Jensen) legs.
- Buffalo State could not get in sync the rest of the way and were unable to cut into the deficit including failing to score on a five-minute major power play.
- Norrman finished with 23 saves as the shots on goal for the game finished even at 26-26.

- Rob Clerc had a goal and an assist for Potsdam, and Bryce Ferrell and Tom Terranova also scored.
- Michael Paglucca made 25 saves in the win.
