POTSDAM, N.Y.— Potsdam used an 11-5 run in the final 3:16 of the contest to escape with a 73-67 win over the visiting Bengals in SUNYAC action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) paced the Bengals with 21 points on 3 of 7 shooting from distance.
- Jordan Christopher (Bronx/Mott Haven Campus) chipped in 20 points on 8 of 13 shooting to go along with eight rebounds.
- Argjend Imeri (Syracuse/Nottingham) added 12 points and three rebounds, while Kay Grant (Jamaica/Thomas Jefferson) tallied eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
- Buffalo State and Potsdam traded runs in the opening minutes of the contest with neither teams claiming a double-digit lead.
- The Bengals closed the first half on a 13-6 run, fueled by three-straight made 3-pointers by Adams, Imeri and Christopher in the final four minutes, to claim a 38-34 halftime lead.
- Potsdam responding with a 13-7 of its own to shift the lead back to the Bears, 47-45, with 13:40 left in the contest.
- Buffalo State evened the score on the next play and held a slim margin for the next nine minutes until the Bears used a layup to level the score at 62-62 with 4:58 left in the contest.
- Potsdam used a 9-0 run in the next three minutes to take a 71-62 lead with 1:38 remaining.
- Buffalo State trimmed the deficit to 73-67 on a final three-point field goal by Imeri, but it was not enough as the Bears escaped with the conference win.
- Both teams shot 40 percent from the floor, with Potsdam holding a 12-4 advantage in second-chance points and a 12-2 edge in bench production.
- Buffalo State outrebounded the Bears 41-36, including 13-9 on the offensive glass.

- Isaiah Brown led the Bears with 19 points and six assists.
- Jayquan Thomas chipped in 17 points and six rebounds, while Tyrese Baptiste added 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
NOTEWORTHY
- With his 21 points against Potsdam, junior Sheldon Adams is only 17 points away from eclipsing the 1,000-point plateau. Adams has tallied his 983 points in 64 career games.
