Buffalo State’s Pavone named to SUNYAC Men’s Soccer All-Decade Team

CORTLAND, N.Y.—The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) revealed its Men's Soccer All-Decade Team for players who competed from 2010-2020 and included Buffalo State's Luke Pavone among the honorees.

Pavone played just two full seasons at Buffalo State after transferring from Division I UMass.  He suited up for the Bengals in 2015 and then after missing all but one game 2016 due to injury returned for his final season in 2017, earning second team All-America honors from the United Soccer Coaches.  A two-time first team All-SUNYAC selection, he was also a two-time All-East Region honoree.  The center midfielder finished his Buffalo State career with 19 goals and nine assists for 47 points in 38 games played.

After completing his bachelor's degree in health and wellness at Buffalo State in 2017, Pavone has continued his soccer career at the professional level.  He played one season with Hapoel Petah Tikva in Liga Leumit, the second division of the Israeli Football League.  Pavone returned stateside in 2019 and signed with the Richmond Kickers of the USL League One where he recently resigned for a third season with the club.
