BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team allowed five second half goals in a 5-2 loss to Oswego on Friday night at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams played to a scoreless draw in the first half, with both teams feeling each other out.
- Early in the second half, Freddy Fikiri was denied at close range by the Lakers goalkeeper to keep the game scoreless.
- In the 51st minute, the Lakers capitalized on a Buffalo State mistake as the Bengal goalkeeper failed to corral a cross and punched it into the path of Slater Bushen, who headed it into the net for a 1-0 lead.
- Two minutes later, Bushen doubled the Oswego lead, taking a pass from the right side and finishing into the bottom right corner with his left foot.
- The Bengals pulled one back in the 60th minute when Saif knocked a rebound home after a defender cleared Simic's shot off the goal line.
- Oswego restored their two-goal lead in the 66th minute after Ryan Young dribbled past the Bengal defense and fed Mason Burch in front of goal.
- The Lakers executed a perfect give-and-go between HaJoon Lee and Kyle Gehnrich to score their fourth goal, as Lee fed Gehnrich, who sent a one-touch pass back to Lee, who then finished into the right corner of the net.
- Shaibi scored a fantastic goal with an excellent volley off a cross from Saif just one minute later.
- The Lakers tacked on another goal in the 79th minute for the final tally.
FOR THE FOES
- Bushen led the Lakers with two goals on three shots, while Young added two assists.
- Brian Terra made eight saves in goal to record the victory.
