BUFFALO, NY— The Buffalo State women's soccer team wrapped up their season with a 1-0 loss to Brockport on Saturday afternoon at Coyer Field. The Bengals finished the season with a 3-15-0 record (0-9-0 SUNYAC).

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Heather Moriarty (Mount Morris, NY/ Keshequa Central) led Buffalo State with two shot attempts, including the lone shot on goal.
- Bella Vene (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park made 13 saves for the Bengals over 90 minutes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 12th minute, Vene made an excellent save, diving to her right to deny a great opportunity for the Golden Eagles.
- Just before the half hour mark, Vene dove to save a long range shot, then was able to corral a shot from right in front of the net off the ensuing corner.
- The teams headed into halftime scoreless, although the Golden Eagles held a 14-0 advantage in shot attempts.
- In the 74th minute, Brockport was stifled by Vene once again off a corner kick opportunity. This time Vene had to react quickly to handle a hard shot right at her.
- Brockport finally broke through in the 81st minute, when Camryn Pettit stole a pass from a Bengal defender and blasted a shot into the top left corner from about 25 yards out.
- Defender Bryanna Roos (Walworth, NY/Ruben A. Cirrilo) made an excellent goal-line clearance in the 87th minute to keep the Bengals within one.
- The Bengals had one final chance to tie the game in the 88th minute, but Erin Valente's (Latham, NY/Shaker) shot attempt drifted just wide of the right goal post.
FOR THE FOES
- In addition to the game-winning goal, Pettit had seven shot attempts, including five shots on goal.
SENIOR DAY
After the match, the Bengals honored their five seniors from this year's team. Defenders A.J Haase (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South),
Aimy Vadeboncoeur (Varennes, QC/De Mortagne), Roos, midfielder
Alexis Hults (Schenevus, NY/Schenevus), and attacker Valente received senior gifts at the conclusion of the game.
