BROCKPORT, N.Y.— The sixth-seeded Buffalo State volleyball team saw its season end to third-seeded Brockport, as the Bengals fell in three sets in the quarterfinals of the SUNYAC Tournament Tuesday evening.

- Samantha Coakley (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) led the team offensively with eight kills and a .286 hitting percentage.
- Liz Schultheis (Holley, N.Y./Brockport) added five kills and a solo block in her final match as a Bengal.
- Jenna Hugenschmidt (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence) tallied five digs to lead the Bengal defense.
- Riley Domin (Getzville, N.Y./Williamsville South) paced the Buffalo State offense with 12 assists, adding four digs.
- Abby Verner (Ransomville, N.Y./Trinity) added six assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brockport jumped out to a 7-1 lead, and the teams traded points as Brockport led 13-6 midway through the opening set.
- The Bengals scored four consecutive points, capped off by a Schultheis kill to trail by just three, 13-10.
- The Golden Eagles pulled away from there, closing the set with an 12-2 run.
- The Bengals and Golden Eagles split the first six points of the second set.
- Brockport then tallied 16 of the next 20 points to take a 19-7 lead, eventually finishing the set with a 25-11 win.
- After trailing by two in the third set, Buffalo State tallied three straight points to take a 7-6 lead.
- Tied at nine, Brockport went on a 5-1 spurt to take a four-point lead.
- The Bengals cut the lead in half, trailing 18-16 after another Schultheis kill.
- Brockport went on a match-clinching 7-0 to advance to the SUNYAC Semifinal.

- Andrea Coyle led the Golden Eagles with 10 kills on 17 attempts.
