OSWEGO, NY – Four Oswego players scored in double figures, leading a balanced attack as the Buffalo State men's basketball team began SUNYAC play with a 79-63 loss to Oswego Friday evening.

• Aaron Davis (Beacon, NY/Beacon) added 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field.
• Marquell Boutwell (Liverpool, NY/Nottingham) tallied six points and 11 rebounds.
• The Bengals shot 33.3 percent (22-of-66) from the field in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Oswego led wire-to-wire in this game, opening up a 9-0 run in the contest's first 3:50.
• Four consecutive free throws by Adams brought the deficit down to six, at 11-5.
• Up seven, Jamal Achille's and-one basket sparked a 9-2 run, as the Lakers led by double-digits.
• The Lakers led by as many as 20 in the first half after an Ahkee Anderson layup gave them a 33-13 lead.
• The Bengals ended the period on a Philbert Weekes (Brooklyn, NY/Lafayette) buzzer-beater, as he scored in the paint as Oswego led 41-25 at the half.
• Oswego extended its lead to as many as 22 points (66-44) midway through the second half.
• With the benches emptied near the tail end of the game, Jeremiah Miller (Clinton, MD/Grace Brethren Christian) hit a pair of 3-pointers for his first points as a Bengal.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Julien Crittendon led the Lakers with 14 points and six rebounds.
• Anderson and Jeremiah Starks each added 11 points, each shooting 5-of-8 from the field.
• Brendan Mulson chipped in 10 points.
• Oswego shot 47.1 percent (32-of-68) from the field and the Laker bench outscored the Bengals by a 30-17 margin.
