OSWEGO, N.Y.—After trading early runs, Oswego pulled away for a 14-4 victory over visiting Buffalo State today in a SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego jumped out to a 3-0 lead less than five minutes into the game, but the Bengals responded with a 3-0 run of their own over the next 18 minutes to even the score.
- The Lakers scored the final three goals of the first half, however, and then outscored the Bengals 8-1 in the second half to pull away.
- Lindsay Wademan (Owego/Owego Free), Samantha Burlow (West Seneca/Buffalo Seminary), Julia Wachna (Syracuse/Onondaga) and Liz Schultheis (Brockport/Brockport) all scored for Buffalo State.
- Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont) finished with 12 saves.
- The Lakers outshot Buffalo State 38-15 and committed just 13 turnovers, compared to 23 by the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES
- Sela Wiley led Oswego with five goals and an assist, and Shae McConnell scored three times.
- Delaney Kendrick made nine saves in the win.
Buffalo State will host Fredonia on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
