BUFFALO, NY – It's finally 2022, and Buffalo State winter sports are back in action this week. Our contests begin tomorrow with the Inaugural Buffalo State Outdoor Classic for men's hockey at Buffalo RiverWorks, culminating with a quadruple header of men's and women's hockey and men's and women's basketball on Saturday at home. Men's Hockey (4-8-0, 2-4-0 SUNYAC)
This Week:
Kicking off the 2022 year is the Buffalo State Outdoor Classic at Buffalo RiverWorks. The Bengals take on Chatham in the first outdoor game in program history at 4 p.m. Buffalo State holds a 2-0 advantage all-time over the Cougars. Buffalo State then hosts Nazareth in a non-conference matchup on Saturday evening at the Ice Arena.

Women's Basketball (5-4, 2-1 SUNYAC)
This Week:
The Bengals return to action this weekend with two SUNYAC contests at home. Buffalo State hosts Potsdam on Friday evening, before taking on Plattsburgh on Saturday afternoon. The Bengals hold a 41-8 advantage all-time over the Bears, including victories in 19 of the last 20 games. Buffalo State also holds a 34-17 edge over Plattsburgh all-time.

The Bengals return to action with a pair of non-conference games against Rivier University at home this weekend. It will be the first meetings between the programs all-time, and both sides are looking for their first victory of the year.

This Week:
Buffalo State has three home contests this week. The Bengals open up the 2022 year with a non-conference game against Rochester on Wednesday, before playing host to Potsdam and Plattsburgh over the weekend. The Bengals are taking on the Yellowjackets for the first time since 2006, and hold slight advantages all-time over both the Bears and the Cardinals.
