BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team preps to close out their SUNYAC schedule this weekend with home matches with the Geneseo Knights on Friday, and the Brockport Golden Eagles on Saturday.

The Bengal Report:

• Buffalo State looks to rebound after a 3-0 loss to New Paltz on Saturday, however, the Bengals have won four of their last five overall.
• The team will look for some crucial wins this weekend to secure a playoff berth, and possibly hosting a playoff game.
• Samantha Coakley (Lockport, NY/Lockport) has 140 kills on the season, which leads the team.
• Coakley is second on the team in service aces with 31 while Riley Domin (Getzville, NY/Williamsville South) leads the way with 39.
• Liz Schultheis (Holley, NY/Brockport) and Erin Mergler (Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) lead the Bengals with 59.0 and 48.0 total blocks respectively.
• Schultheis' 26 solo blocks currently leads the SUNYAC.

A Look At The Knights:

• Geneseo enters play Friday also looking to clinch a playoff spot.
• Linda Rossi leads the team with 152 kills this year.
• Emily Haber leads the team with 339 digs and 23 service aces.

Eyeing The Eagles:

• Brockport enters play Saturday with a playoff spot already clinched.
• Jordan Thompson leads the Golden Eagles with 252 kills (which leads the conference) and 55 service aces (good for second in the SUNYAC).
• Madalyn Bowen has 321 digs, good for the second-best mark.

History:

• Geneseo is 37-15 all-time against Buff State, including six straight and a 3-0 sweep last year.
• Brockport holds a 51-10 advantage and are winners of eight straight.
• The Golden Eagles swept them in the regular season, and swept them in the first-round on the playoffs.
