BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team wrapped up the 2022 regular season in a tri-match with the University of Rochester and St. John Fisher. The Bengals fell in both contests.
GAME ONE BASICS

- Samantha Coakley (Lockport, NY/Lockport) led the Bengals attack with 11 kills.
- Karlie Shaffer (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown East) dished out 14 assists while Riley Domin (Getzville, NY/Williamsville South) had 10.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set was a constant back-and-forth affair until the end.
- Down 21-18, Fisher would rally off the final 7 points to earn the victory.
- In the second set, both teams continued their rallies as there were four leads changed throughout.
- Fisher would hold off the Bengals comeback.
- In the final set, the two squads continued to fight until the end.
- Lindsey DeBonis would notch the final kill for the Cardinals.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Coakley and Erin Mergler (Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) each had 11 kills for Buffalo State.
- Domin added another 19 assists, and Jenna Hugenschmidt (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) had 15 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the second time this season, the Bengals and Yellowjackets went into a five-game showdown.
- The team would keep competitive through the first four sets, going back-and-forth in winning each.
- In the final set, U of R gained control from the start.
- After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, they would go on a 12-6 run to secure the victory.
