HAMBURG, NY – Kaylee Valentic (N. Tonwanda, NY/N. Tonawanda) scored the game-winning goal in the 60
th minute to lead the Buffalo State women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Hilbert in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals took the lead in the 16th minute on an own goal after a back pass from a defender slipped under the feet of the goalkeeper into the back of the net.
- Hilbert tied the score just before halftime, from a solid individual effort from Grace Zabawa.
- The teams entered the half deadlocked at 1-1.
- The Bengals took the lead for good at the hour mark of the match.
- Ali Maynard (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) sent a pass to Valentic just past the midfield line, and Valentic dribbled past three defenders before chipping a shot into the right corner of the net.
- The Bengals went on the offensive after the goal, preventing Hilbert from creating many opportunities.
- Kaufman made a strong save in the final minutes to stop the Hawks' last scoring threat.
