Men’s Soccer Awaits Home Tilt with SUNYAC Foe Cortland

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team squares off against the Red Dragons of Cortland on Saturday afternoon at Coyer Field with kick-off scheduled for 4 p.m. The Bengals will look to end their four-game winless streak after playing to a scoreless draw against Medaille on Wednesday. Cortland has won three straight after handing Hobart a 3-0 loss earlier this week.

The Bengal Breakdown

· The Bengals are aiming for their second SUNYAC win of the season, as they currently sit at 3-4-4 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play.

· Manu Prieto (Cascais, Portugal/Salesianos Do Estoril) leads the Bengal offense with two goals and five points this season.

· Pat Knudsen (Randaberg, Norway/St. Svithun) and Hosa Omar (Buffalo, NY/Lackawanna) have also chipped in two goals on the year for the Bengals.

· Goalkeeper Shae Wirt (Overland Park, KS/St. Thomas Aquinas) has given up just six goals this season to date, good for the second fewest allowed in the conference.

· Jack Coleman and Matt Shultz spearhead the Red Dragons' offensive unit, with each registering seven goals so far this season.
