UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH – The Buffalo State men's basketball team fell short this afternoon as they fell 75-68 against Wittenberg University to close out the John Carroll Tournament at the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Argjend Imeri (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) led Buffalo State with a career-high 20 points with five steals.
- Tyron Smith (New York, NY/Thurgood Marshall) and Chisom Ani (Corona, NY/John Browne) each had seven rebounds for the Bengals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both offenses went back-and-forth for much of the first half.
- Wittenberg never tailed but their lead was never more than eight.
- Buffalo State kept it close and closed out the half on a 12-10 run to only trail 30-26.
- The Tigers' offense gained control early in the second half as they stretched their lead to a game-high 14 points.
- Imeri and Robert Richards (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) found their rhythm and led the Bengals to shrink the lead down to two.
- Richards was 5-8 at the free throw line to help the Bengals comeback effort.
- Despite the effort, the Tigers were able to hang on and finished the game on a 10-8 run.
- Imeri was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
FOR THE FOES
- Jerry Saunders Jr. led the Tigers with 25 points.
- Levi Boettcher racked in 16 rebounds.
