Rutland, VT - Tyler Vanuden (Fort Frances, ON/Finlandia University) scored both goals for the Bengals, but the Buffalo State men's hockey dropped the opening game of the Terry Moran Invitational, 5-2 to Saint Anselm on Friday evening.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE 
-Vanuden's goals came on five shot attempts.
-Parker Allison (Dallas, TX/Neepawa Natives), Chris Blango (Chadds Ford, PA/Philadelphia Little Flyers), and Drayton Todoroff (Jackson, MI/Amarillo Wranglers) each recorded an assist. 
-Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka,Sweden/Dells Ducks) made 36 saves in goal. 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
-Vanuden gave the Bengals a 1-0 lead into the first intermission off an assist from Todoroff.
-Vanuden's second goal just over a minute into the second period gave the Bengals a 2-0 lead. 
-Saint Anselm scored a pair of goals in the second period to knot the score into the second intermission. 
-The Hawks took the lead with just over four minutes remaining in the third period,  and added a pair of insurance goals in the final minute of the game. 
FOR THE FOES
-Andrew Andary scored a pair of goals for Saint Anselm.
