- Tyron Smith (New York, NY/Thurgood Marshall) was Buffalo State's leading scorer with 16 points.
- Robert Richards (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo scored 11 of the first 13 points of the game, and held a 35-20 edge with under seven minutes left in the first half.
- The Knights extended their lead to as many as 23 points, and settled for a 47-28 lead at halftime.
- A 17-9 run by Buffalo State to open the second half cut the deficit to 11 after a 3-pointer by Jaiden Allen (Marlboro, NY/Marlboro) and a jumper by Smith.
- Argjend Imeri (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) made a jumper to make the score 59-52, before Geneseo began to extend its lead.
- A fastbreak layup by Richards got the Bengals within seven with just over a minute remaining, but Geneseo did not allow another point for Buffalo State.
FOR THE FOES
- Raymond Grabowski led all scorers with 19 points, and Sebastian Pacheco chipped in 18 points and six boards.
