ALFRED, NY – Paris Jamison nailed a step back jump shot in the final seconds of the game to lead host Alfred State to a 81-79 victory over the Buffalo State men's basketball team in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pioneers led for most of the first half, before Richards' layup gave the Bengals a 24-23 lead with six minutes remaining in the half.
- Alfred State immediately responded with a 10-0 run, and held a 42-35 advantage at halftime.
- Buffalo State began the half on a 15-7 run to take a 50-49 lead with 15:42 remaining.
- The Bengals stretched their advantage to four points, before Alfred State countered with another 10-0 run.
- The Pioneers led by as many as nine before Buffalo State pulled back to within two on a four-point possession on a basket by Parkinson and a pair of free throws by Allen.
- After Alfred State went 1-for-2 from the free throw line, Smallhorne tied the score with a 3-pointer with 26 seconds remaining.
- The Pioneers held for the final shot, and Jamison was able to net the winning basket in the final seconds.
- Buffalo State was unable to inbound the ball and Alfred State was able to run out the clock.

- Dylan Perry had 23 points, while Cody Schneider chipped in 21 points to lead Alfred State.
