Women's Hockey Falls 6-0 to Cortland

CORTLAND, NY – Grace Schnorr scored two first period goals to lead the host Red Dragons to a 6-0 victory over the Buffalo State women's hockey team on Friday evening at Alumni Arena .

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
-Cortland opened the game by scoring on two of its first three shots of the game, taking a 2-0 lead less than four minutes into the opening period.
 
-The Red Dragons added another goal late in the period to take a 3-0 lead into the first intermission.
 
-Just before the midway point of the second period, the Red Dragons scored once again, and added a power-play goal in the final two minutes of the period to lead 5-0 after two periods.
 
-Cortland need just over two minutes into the third period to score a sixth goal.
 
-After two Cortland penalties, Buffalo State had a few good opportunities on the power-play to find the back of the net, but were unable to score.
 
-Neither team scored the rest of the way as Cortland finished off the shutout win.
 
FOR THE FOES
 
-Schnorr has now scored five times against the Bengals this season, after tallying a hat-trick earlier this season at the Ice Arena.
 
-Anna Hamid and Emily Steen combined to stop all 12 shots on goal for the shutout victory.
