MORRISVILLE, NY – Host Morrisville scored four third period goals to take control of a 5-0 victory over the Buffalo State women's hockey team on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Neither team was able to get much going in the opening minutes of the game, until a wrist shot by Alana McDonald beat Auge to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead with 11 minutes left in the period.
-The Bengals had a couple of chances on the power play late in the period, but weren't able to connect as the score remained 1-0 at the first intermission.
-Each team killed off one penalty in a scoreless second period as the Mustangs retained their one-goal advantage.
-Auge stopped all 16 shots she faced in the period to keep the Bengals within striking distance.
-Morrisville extended its lead to 2-0 less than a minute into the third period, and added a power-play goal just past the six minute mark to make it 3-0.
-After the Mustangs killed off another penalty, they added a fourth goal on a two-on-one opportunity.
-Morrisville added a goal in the final minute of regulation for the final tally.
FOR THE FOES
-Allie Davidson led Morrisville with two goals and an assist.
-Emma Plett stopped all 15 shots on goal for the shutout victory.
