BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's hockey team fell to Oswego, 3-0, on Senior Night at the Ice Arena on Saturday evening.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE

Connor Minch (Manchester, New Hampshire/Islanders Hockey Club) stopped 38 shots in goal to keep the Bengals in the game.

Tyler Vanuden (Fort Frances, ON/Finlandia University) and
Andrew Logar (Niagara Falls, NY/Corpus Christi Ice Rays) each tallied three shots on goal to lead the Bengals. Logar also won seven of his 11 faceoff attempts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Bengals started strong for the second night in a row, but were unable to find the back of the net early.
-Oswego took a 1-0 lead just before the midway point of the period, as Travis Broughman scored on a breakaway.
-The Lakers carried the one-goal advantage into the first intermission.
-The score remained 1-0 after two periods thanks to Minch's excellent goaltending, as he stopped all 12 shots he faced in the period.
-Oswego maintained its lead late into the third period, and the Bengals pulled Minch for an extra attacker with just over three minutes remaining.
-After a pair of Buffalo State penalties in the last two minutes, the Lakers added a power-play goal on a 5-on-3 opportunity with under a minute remaining.
-Oswego tallied another 5-on-3 goal with 6.1 seconds left for the final tally.
SENIOR NIGHT
After the conclusion of the game, the Bengals honored seven seniors for their contributions to the program:

Bryan Colburn,
Hayden Ford,
A.J. Marinelli,
Connor Minch, and
Brendon Zack.
FOR THE FOES
-Broughman and Alex DiCarlo led the way for Oswego with a goal and an assist apiece.
-Eric Green stopped all 20 shots he faced for the shutout victory.
