BUFFALO, NY – Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) stopped 68 shots in goal to break the Buffalo State women's hockey single-saves record in the season finale, a 2-0 defeat at the hands of NEWHL foe Oswego on Tuesday evening at the Ice Arena.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Auge's 68 saves set a new career-high, and she was a perfect 49-for-49 in the final two periods.
- Angelina Cruzal (Campbell, CA/San Jose Jr. Sharks) led Buffalo State with three shots on goal.
- Miya Silva (El Monte, CA/Anaheim Lady Ducks) blocked four shots for the Bengals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego came out firing in the first period, firing shots at will on the Buffalo State net, but Auge made a few solid saves, and a goal line clearance to keep the score even early.
- The Lakers got on the board just before the midway point of the frame, as Simone Bednarik knocked in a rebound after Auge denied an initial shot.
- Oswego doubled its lead less than three minutes later, as Mack Hull ripped a wrist shot into the corner of the net.
- The Bengals were unable to capitalize on two opportunities on the power play late in the period as the score remained 2-0 after one.
- Auge was excellent in the second period, making 27 saves in the period as the Bengals kept the Lakers off the board.
- The Bengals came out strong in the third period, but were unable to find the back of the net on any of their chances early in the period.
- Auge continued to deny Oswego on the other end, and a save on Mia Conboy with under three minutes remaining broke Mary Keddie's record of 987 saves in the 2002-03 season.
