BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's basketball team couldn't hold a late lead against SUNYAC foe Oneonta, falling 65-63 in overtime on Saturday evening at the Sports Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Red Dragons raced out to a 12-7 lead at the five minute mark of the first half.
-Oneonta stretched the lead to as many as 11, before Buffalo State clawed back to within four at 35-31, thanks to a last second basket by
Matt Parkinson (Springfield Gardens, NY/John Browne).
-A layup by
Aaron Davis (Beacon, NY/Beacon) gave Buffalo State its first lead of the second half at 41-40.
-The Bengals never led by more than three points, as Oneonta stayed within closing distance.
-Another Davis basket gave the Bengals a 59-57 lead with 1:24 remaining, but the Red Dragons were able to send the game into overtime with a pair of free throws.
-A steal and layup on the fast break by
Argjend Imeri (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) started the overtime period.
-After Sean Nolan knocked down one of two free throws with 36 seconds remaining, the Bengals were unable to hit the tying or winning basket on two occasions as Oneonta hung on for the win.
FOR THE FOES
-Three Red Dragons scored in double figures, with Dylan Trombley and Daniel Derice each scoring 13 points.
