HOW IT HAPPENED
- Defense was strong during the first half as both teams failed to score. Buffalo State outshot Alfred 5-3.
- The Saxons got on the board early in the second half after a header off a free kick from Christian Moon in the 53rd minute.
- Chase Freeland netted a second goal for Alfred in the 63rd minute.
- The Bengals finally cracked through five minutes later thanks to Juma's second goal of the year.
- Buffalo State came close to tying the game in the 74th minute as Pat Knudsen (Randaberg, Norway) passed up to Nacho Caceres (Hopewell, NY/John Jay), who had his shot saved by Alfred's Daniel Koenig.
- Joaquin Ghioldi-Acosta scored the third Saxon goal of the night.
FOR THE FOES
- Moon and Ghioldi-Acosta each scored their first goal of the season while Freeland tallied his third.
- Koenig finished the night with four saves for the Saxons.
