Men's Basketball Falls To New Paltz

NEW PALTZ, NY – The Buffalo State men's basketball team dropped their contest tonight with SUNYAC-rival New Paltz and the Hawk Center by a final score of 80-43.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
  • Robert Richards (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) and Argjend Imeri (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) each scored six points for the Bengals.
  • Richards also had a team-high seven rebounds while Mally Peaker (New York, NY/University Prep) had six of his own.
  • Steph Vergara (Queens, NY/Francis Lewis) had three steals for the Bengals.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After opening the half on a 6-0 run, New Paltz dominated much of the rest of the way as they saw their lead reach a peak of 25.
  • At the half, the Hawks went into the locker room with a 34-14 lead.
  • Buffalo State found some life in the offense in the second half as they attempted to chip into the Hawks lead.
  • The deficit was too much to climb and New Paltz was on cruise control the rest of the way.

FOR THE FOES
  • Lucas Seyoum had a game-high 16 points for New Paltz.
  • RJ Meyers-Turner and Sean St. Lucia scored in double figures as well with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

UP NEXT
Buffalo State will return to action tomorrow as they head to Oneonta for more SUNYAC action. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
