OSWEGO, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team officially clinched a playoff berth this afternoon following a 4-2 win over Oswego at the Laker Turf Stadium.

- Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) led Buffalo State with his first hat trick as a Bengal.
- Ali Mohamed (Lackawanna, NY/Lackawanna) picked up his fourth goal of the season.
- Aladin Ali (Rochester, NY/East Irondequoit) and Joseph Desmonie (Valatie, NY/Icabod Crane) each picked up an assist for the Bengals.
- Shae Wirt (Overland Park, KS/St. Thomas Aquinas) made five saves in the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego got the scoring started early in the first half as Liam Rothar found the back of the net following a Laker corner kick.
- The Bengals responded quickly as Rivera netted his first goal as he broke away from the Lakers' defense.
- The Bengals offense continued to press as Rivera netted his second goal following a beautiful pass from Ali.
- Buffalo State scored again immediately after as Mohamed snagged the loose ball from Desmonie.
- Both sides would cool down after the early scoring as the Bengals went into the half up 3-1.
- Rivera's third goal goal of the day came with the clock winding down as he netted his SUNYAC-leading 14th goal of the season to finish the hat trick.
- Matthew Sprague scored shortly after for the Lakers second goal of the afternoon.
- Buffalo State outshot the Lakers with a 19-11 margin.

- Andre Bourjollu made two saves in the effort.
- Brendan Murphy earned a pair of assists.
