PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team fell short this afternoon in their battle with the Plattsburgh State Cardinals by a final score of 13-9 at the Field House Complex.

- Emilee Josker (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) and Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) each had three goals for the Bengals.
- Anastacia Wells (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) had three caused turnovers while Josker tallied eight draw controls.
- Beth Kulikowski (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) and Moira Penot (Clifton Heights, PA/Upper Darby) combined for 13 saves in the effort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals got on the board first when Lindsay Guzzetta found the back on the net.
- Shortly after, Lauren Rinow (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) scored after the feed from Kacey Stack (Blasdell, NY/Frontier).
- Plattsburgh would score four unanswered goals before Josker got the Bengals back in it with a goal from the free position.
- The Bengals closed out the half with three consecutive goals only trailing 9-6.
- Plattsburgh would pull away with three goals in the third.
- The Cardinals would hand on in the final ten minutes to secure the victory.
FOR THE FOES
- Kate Kennedy scored four goals for the Cardinals.
- Emma McLaughlin had six groundballs and Johanna Malone snagged five saves in the victory.
