HAMBURG, NY – Gio Ventura (Geneva, NY/Geneva) finished fourth individually, and the Buffalo State men's cross country team took second as a team, as the Bengals opened up the season on Saturday at the Hilbert Meghan Sorbera Memorial Race.

FOR THE BENGALS
- Ventura completed the 5k course in 17:07 as the top Bengal finisher.
- Finishing in 10th place for Buffalo State was Sidney Morris (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East), who recorded a time of 18:25.
- Seth Fonda (Buffalo, NY/Cheektowaga) was 14th in 18:57, Christopher Davis (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) finished 16th in 19:00, and Max Ming (Brooklyn, NY/Orchard Academy) rounded out the top five for the Bengals in 21st place.
