BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team returns to action this week with a slate of non-conference matchups. The Bengals will travel to Nazareth tonight with a 7:00 pm start time before traveling on Saturday to face St. Joseph's University Long Island and Baruch College at 11:00 am and 12:30 pm, respectively.

Breaking Down The Bengals

• After hosting their annual Bengal Challenge Tournament last weekend, Buffalo State has a 6-6 (0-0 SUNAYC) record this season.
• The Bengals won three of four matches during the tournament as Ella Wittman (Cheektowaga, NY/Springville Griffith) and Samantha Coakley (Lockport, NY/Lockport) each earned All-Tournament team honors.
• Wittman currently leads the squad with 128 kills in her debut season while also registering 115 digs and 9.0 blocks.
• Karlie Shaffer (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown East) has dished out a team-high 251 assists.

A Guide To The Golden Flyers

• Nazareth enters play with a 1-8 (0-0 Empire 8) start to their season.
• The Golden Flyers have dropped six-straight matches after competing in the Carnegie Mellon Quad this past weekend.
• Tessa Grover leads the team with 102 kills while also dishing out 107 assists and 69 digs.
• Grover also leads the team with 24.0 blocks and 16 service aces.

 
Eyes On The Eagles

• St. Joseph's enters the week with a record of 3-3 (0-0 Skyline Conference).
• The team will host Maritime (NY) on Wednesday before hosting Buffalo State on Saturday.
• Madison Gremli leads the team with 79 kills.
