BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's basketball team earned their first conference win of the season this afternoon as they defeated the Oswego State Lakers with a final score of 60-50 at the Sports Arena.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Chloe Hanson (Skaneateles, NY/Moravia) and Jadyn Jones (The Seneca Nation/Lake Shore) led the Bengals offense with 12 points each.
- Hanson also had a team-high eight rebounds.
- Emma Cohen (Utica, NY/TR Proctor) and Adiya Jones (Washington, DC/McKinley Technology) each chipped in 10 points for the Bengals.
- Jones also had a team-high four assists in the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the start of action being 6-6, the Bengals pounced on an 8-2 run capped off by a three-pointer from Cohen to take control of the action.
- The Bengals then went on to score four on the final six points of the quarter to maintain their lead.
- In the second quarter, the Bengals grew their lea to 15 as they went into the half with a 33-21 lead.
- At the start of the second half, the Lakers slowly got back into the action cutting the lead to six, however, the Bengals responded with a swift 8-3 run to close out the third.
- The Bengals held strong on defense in the final minutes to secure the win and snap the team's seven-game skid.
- The Lakers had the slight advantage at the boards, finishing with 40 rebounds while Buffalo State tallied 38.
FOR THE FOES
- Giavanna White-Principio led the Laker offense with nine points and 12 rebounds in the effort.
- Logan Castiglione had three steals on defense.
