PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Buffalo State women's basketball team fell short in their SUNYAC matchup with the Plattsburgh Cardinals by a final score of 66-51 at the Memorial Hall.

- Emma Cohen (Utica, NY/TR Proctor) and Maddy Stearns (Clarence, NY/Clarence) led the Bengals with 12 points each.
- Grace Carey (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) chipped in 11 points of her own.
- Stearns also had a team-high eight rebounds while also tallying three assists and two steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Plattsburgh opened the matchup with a quick 8-0 start.
- Buffalo State quickly responded with a 9-2 run capped off by a jumper from Adiya Jones (Washington, DC/McKinley Technology).
- The Cardinals offense gained some cushion in the second quarter and went into the half leading 37-21.
- The Bengals attempted to get back in the action, however, Plattsburgh kept the offensive pressure on in the third growing their lead to 19.
- Despite a late push on offense from the Bengals in the fourth quarter, the Cardinal lead was strong enough to hold off a comeback from Buffalo State.
FOR THE FOES
- Jaden Wilson led the Cardinals with 24 points.
- Payton Couture had 20 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
