HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a tough battle with the Mustangs from Morrisville, the Bengals looked to another battle with #6 Plattsburgh State. In the first period, the Bengals looked at an early deficit, going down 2-0, midway in the period. The Bengals did their best at holding the Cardinals off the board for the rest of the period, going into the first intermission down 2-0. The Bengals were outshot eight to three in the period.
- The second period saw the Cardinals continue their offensive attack, pressuring the Bengals defense to collapse and increase their lead. But credit to the Bengals defense and Auge for holding the Cardinals off the board going into the second intermission down 2-0.
- In the third period, the Bengals couldn't hold the Cardinals attack much longer…which would lead to two more goals by the Cardinals, and the Bengals going down in defeat, 4-0.
FOR THE FOES
- Kayson Ruegge, Tessa Morris, Mae Olshansky, and Kate Conlon all scored for the Cardinals.
- Chloe Lewis shutout the Bengals, making nine saves in net.
