OSWEGO, NY – The Buffalo State men's basketball team fell short against the #4 Oswego State Lakers in their season finale this afternoon with a final score of 91-53 at the Max Ziel Gymnasium.

- Brendyn Cheng (Huntington, NY/Commack) led the Bengals offense with 10 points and six rebounds.
- Nigel Burch (Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek) chipped in nine points and 10 rebounds in the effort.
- The matchup also marked the final career contest for Head Coach Fajri Ansari who announced his retirement earlier this season.
- Ansari finishes his head coaching career with 201 wins which is good for the second most wins all-time in the history of the men's basketball program.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers offense pounced in the opening minutes scoring 13 of the first 15 points of the contest.
- Oswego continued to push on offense and led by 20 into halftime.
- In the second half, the Lakers continued to surge as they grew their lead to a game-high 38 points to secure the victory.
- Oswego was dominant on the boards collecting 52 rebounds while the Bengals tallied 41 overall.

- Luke Van Slyke led the Lakers with 23 points and nine rebounds.
- Three other Lakers scored in double figures in the win.
