ROCHESTER, NY – The Buffalo State men's and women's indoor track and field team opened competition of the AARTFC Regional meet tonight at the Golisano Training Center at Nazareth University.
 

FOR THE BENGALS

• Natalia Sawyer (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) led the way posting the fastest time in the prelims in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.70 seconds.
• Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) will be seeded second heading into finals in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.73 seconds.
• Laster also finished second in the long jump with a leap of 5.58 meters.
• Xzavier Goodman (Buffalo, NY/Olmstead) posted a fifth place finish in the shot put with mark of 15.67 meters.
• Tyler McGrath (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) and Logan Abate (Green Brook, NJ/Watchung) raced in the 60-meter dash while Chris Kaszynski (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) took on the pole vault.
• Kai Messmer (Buffalo, NY/St. Joe's) led the jumpers in the long jump while Nas Muslim Dost (Buffalo, NY/Maryvale) and Seth Conner (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) also competed in the long jump.
