BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team fell short in their season finale with the Brockport Golden Eagles tonight with a final score of 20-10 on Coyer Field.

- Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) tallied her 100th career point with a three goal effort. Willick also picked up three draw controls.
- Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB/Strathmore) tallied two goals and an assist for the Bengals.
- Sarah Fineour (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) also had two goals and an assist, with five shots on goal.
- Brille Lum (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) made 11 saves in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Brockport jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, the Bengals responded with two quick goals.
- The Golden Eagles pulled ahead again, however, Buffalo State was able to score a pair unanswered thanks to Running Rabbit and Emilee Josker (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) to give them the lead.
- Brockport would add a goal at the end of the first to tie things at 4-4.
- In the second, Brockport pulled ahead scoring five of the next seven goals.
- Buffalo State was able to add a crucial free position goal from Lauren Rinow (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) at the end of the half as the Bengals trailed 9-7.
- The Golden Eagle offense surged to start the second half scoring seven goals unanswered.
- Buffalo State fought back in the final minutes, but Brockport was ultimately able to hold on for the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Cassidy Burnash and Alayna Foos led Brockport with five goals each, they also combined for six assists.
- Sarah Kilburn had a total of 14 draw controls and three goals.
