KEUKA PARK, NY – The Buffalo State women's soccer team opened their 2024 season with a 3-0 win over the Keuka College Wolves today at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

- Kaylee Valentic (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) led the Bengals with a pair of goals.
- Emily Maczka (Buffalo, NY/Williamsville North) picked up her first goal as a Bengal.
- Gwen Jarosz (North Tonawanda, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Chole Adams (Watertown, NY/Watertown) each picked up an assist.
- Taylor Clisson (Syracuse, NY/Solvay) and Addy Williams (Grapevine, TX/Grapevine) combined for five saves to secure the shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Valentic picked up right where she left off last season as she found the back of the net off a strong pass from Jarosz.
- Maczka scored later in the half to give the Bengals a quick 2-0 lead.
- Valentic struck again in the second half after gathering the rebound of a shot from Adams.
- The Wolves attempted to try and gain some pressure but couldn't get through the Bengals defense.
- Buffalo State outshot Keuka with a narrow 15-11 advantage.
FOR THE FOES
- Shayla Vetter led the Wolves with three shots on goal.
- Elianna Wilder made four saves in the effort.
