BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's soccer team defended home turf with a collaborative team win over SUNY Potsdam Bears, to notch their first SUNYAC win of the season.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Makenzie Below (Saugerties, NY/ Saugerties) notched her first career-goal for the Bengals in four shots.
- Addy Williams (Grapevine, TX/Grapevine) kept the enemy off the board with a five save, full-game shutout --- her third of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals came out the opening gate swinging early, as Eve DiCarlo (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) scored within the first 10 minutes of the game, her second of the year.
- As the first half came to a finish, game-play became tense and chippy, but the Bengals maintained their composure to maintain a 1-0 lead as the halftime whistle blew.
- Upon the second half restart, the Bengals came out motivated and pressured the Bears defense early. This resulted in the second goal for the Bengals, and creating the distance needed to finish this game with their first SUNYAC win of the season.
- The Bengals out-shot the Bears 12 to 11, with eight of those shots on goal.
FOR THE FOES
- Meg Napolean led the Bears with three total shots and two shots on goal.
- Megan Fry completed a full game for the Bears with six total saves in net.
