  • Chisom Ani (Elmont, NY/John Browne), Parkinson, and Nate Severson (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) all led the Bengals with four rebounds each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After gutting out a victory this past Tuesday night against the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs, the Bengals came into tonight's matchup in high spirits. In the first half, things looked a bit scary for the Bengals, as the Bears went up early by seven points. After exchanging some baskets, the Bengals looked steady in their battle, but the Bears made life tough for the Bengals on the offensive and stretched their lead to ten-points. Through the midway point of the half, the Bengals looked to keep the game within reach, bringing down their deficit into single digits, but strong defensive play from the Bears would keep their foot on the pedal, as they entered halftime with a 13-point lead over the Bengals.
  • Down 13-points and their backs against the wall, the Bengals looked to come out as strong as possible in the second half. Nevertheless, the Bears kept the momentum in their favor, getting out to an 18-point lead over the Bengals and taking firm control of this matchup. As the second half saw fight from the Bengals, it wasn't their night tonight as they would suffer a touch defeat on their home floor at the hands of the SUNY Potsdam Bears.
FOR THE FOES
  • Nicholas Cortez led the Bears in scoring with 18 points, with Khalil Screen chipping in with 16 points.
  • Screen would also go on to lead the Bears in rebounds, pulling down 11 boards for the night, to lead all players.
UP NEXT
The Bengals will look to flush this lost down the drain, as they return to action tomorrow afternoon in the Sports Arena, playing hosts to the Plattsburgh State Cardinals at 3:00 P.M.
